WearPro's HARDPLATE products use duplex materials consisting of tough and highly wear resistant alloy overlaid on a shock absorbing mild steel backing base plate. HARDPLATE is produced by a special submerged arc welding resulting in a highly controlled deposition rate and allowing flexibility in alloy content and type.



The uniformity of HARDPLATE discourages excessive concentration of wear at weld overlaps that are typical of wide bead bonded systems.
 
HARDPLATEalloy deposit is inlaid with an interlocking weld penetration for high strength and flexibility. The true weld bead penetration results in an actual increase in the surface area of the interface.
 
HARDPLATE products can be made to the customers specification. HARDPLATE products can be custom designed to meet the situation regardless of any size and shape concerns. Because the backing material for Hardplate is mild steel, this allows Hardplate to be formed and shaped without affect to the overlay material, therefore the entire chutes or Hoppers could be fabricated by only Hardplate with backing material structural support.
