Cooper rod electrode exerts its eminent performance of conductive and corrosion resistance when it is welded a thin layer of stainless steel, titanium, nickel.
With the advantages of corrosion resistance, wear resistance, good electric and heat conductivity, nice appearance, low cost, etc, copper-steel clad metals are used broadly in the field of civil, industrial, and military industries.
In the metallurgical industry, copper-steel clad metal is used for electroplating, electrolysis electrode, processing electrode for discharge, grounding rod, current conducting arm body, electrode clamp, and an electrode clamping-release device and so on. Copper-steel or aluminum-steel clad metal can be used for bimetal bearing, bearing bush, and liner tube. Copper-steel clad plate can make electrometallurgical furnace and bi-layer water cooling shell & bi-layer crystallizer of melting furnace.

Metal dynamic clad technology (explosion welding or explosion cladding technology) uses high energy from explosive detonation to produce a metallurgical weld between metal plates. It can produce high voltage pulse energy, pushing cladder collide with backer at a specific velocity and impact angle. That process produces much bigger stress than the yield strength of metal material. All these happen at instantaneous moment and simultaneously infinitesimal adjacent area of collision point of limited loading stress of materials, realizing wavelike metallurgical weld of two materials.
